Existence is Resistance and Al-Awda set up a table in front of Nablus sweets on 5th avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn asking for donations for the Viva Palestina Convoy leaving on July 4th from JFK airport that is being led by British MP George Galloway. Cynthia McKinney, Councilman Charles Barron, Ron Kovic are also going on the convoy. We are delivering medical supplies to Gaza and to bring attention and to do our best to break the Israeli siege that is suffocating the people of Gaza. We asked kids from the neighborhood to draw pictures and write messages so we can take it with us and put up in Gaza for the kids over there to see. The kids were great, so smart, so innocent and so positive. Taiseer the owner of Nablus sweets was extremely helpful as usual.
